    Starting Salary: $52,500 per annum plus superannuation

    Overview:

    Working within an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) environment, the General Intelligence Analyst will maintain a broad international focus whilst closely monitoring national and regional issues relating to radical activism, civil unrest, politically motivated violence and criminal (terrorist) activity.

    The General Intelligence Analyst will primarily focus on the collection and processing of information and issuing of alerts as well as perform rudimentary analysis and support more complex analytical tasks and reporting.

    Principal requirements

  • Be competent in the use of the World Wide Web
  • Be competent in the use of computers and MS Office software
  • Be competent with database entry
  • Have a working knowledge of the intelligence process/cycle
  • Possess research and analytical skills
  • Have a contemporary awareness of current political, environmental and social issues
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and an attention to detail
  • Be able to write time-sensitive alerts and other reports as required
  • Be able to organise and prioritise work with minimal supervision
  • Desirable requirements

  • Have experience in the use of i2's iBase and Analysts Notebook
  • Worked within a disciplined environment such as law enforcement or government

    Senior Intelligence Analyst

    Overview:

    Working within an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) environment, the Security Intelligence Analyst will maintain a broad international focus whilst closely monitoring national and regional issues relating to radical activism, civil unrest, politically motivated violence and criminal (terrorist) activity.

    The Senior Intelligence Analyst will collect and process information, perform analysis and produce a range of alerts and reports for dissemination to clients.

    The Senior Intelligence Analyst is expected to have an advanced level of skills, knowledge, experience and ability to undertake complex tasks.

    Principal requirements

  • Be proficient in the use of the World Wide Web
  • Be proficient in the use of computers and MS Office software including Excel
  • Be proficient in the use of database systems such as iBase
  • Be competent in the use of analytical 'tools' such as i2's range of products and MapInfo.
  • Have a refined understanding of the intelligence process/cycle
  • Possess advanced research and analytical skills
  • Have a contemporary awareness of current political, environmental and social issues
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and an attention to detail
  • Be able to write time-sensitive alerts and reports
  • Be able to organise and prioritise work with minimal supervision
  • Have worked as an investigator or analyst within an intelligence based office
  • Desirable requirements

  • Have a second language
